Walk with Us

July 26, 2019 marks the 29th anniversary of signing into law the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guaranteeing an accessible environment for people with disabilities. Meet and mingle on Thursday, July 25th with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Director Joe Xavier as he leads a short walk around downtown Sacramento in celebration of this landmark bill.

DOR’s staff and students from the Orientation Center for the Blind (OCB) will be available at the DOR booth to share resources related to blindness and low vision and demonstrate how to use Braille.
